Antique creamware jelly core with handpainted panels of fruit and foliage.The base bears the impress mark WEDGWOOD and relates to the late 18th century period from the famous Josiah Wedgwood factory in Staffordshire.Note;restored corner of base. Antique English ceramic date cica 1790.

Antique pottery basalt dry body tea set with the impress mark for the Leeds Pottery in Yorkshire.The set comprises of a teapot,sucrete,lidded milk jug and slop basin.The base of each piece is marked LEEDS.POTTERY and relates to the c1790 period. The teapot also bears the impress mark number 2.

A very unusual and striking model of a lion.Very naive modelling with a strong presence.A true piece of English folk art.The body is of a rather brick type composition which has acquired a wonderful patination. I have dated the lion circa 1750/85 period.

Antique English/Scottish pottery jug in Pratt colors from circa 1795. Crisp relief moulded with figures of The Parson,The Clerk and The Sexton who are well decorated by the hand painter.The pitcher has a circular plinth base which is an unusual feature. Re;Griselda Lewis Book page which illustrates similar examples of the jug which have been attributed as Delftfield Glasow,Bovey Tracey Devon,and Staffordshire.
