John and Linda founded Howards of Aberystwyth over 25 years ago where they specialised in antique British pottery from the 18th and 19th centuries. They have recently moved to a new base in Woodstock near Oxford.Woodstock is only one hour from London, located in the Cotswolds their business contributes to the largest concentration of antiques in Britain outside London. Woodstock is a great base from which to explore for antiques in the Cotswolds and surrounding cities and towns.

John and Linda now trade under the name of John Howard and have acquired a group shop of 12 dealers who operate under the name of Antiques at Heritage with their own web site www.atheritage.co.uk. John has a separate showroom within Heritage and is a Member of the Cotswolds Antique Dealers Association (CADA). Heritage was built in 1495 and visitors are most welcome: open 7 days a week.10am until 5.pm and from 1pm until 5pm on Sundays.

The Howards will continue to exhibit at the major British antique Fairs such as the two held each year at Olympia London and the New York Ceramics Fair in January.( see the Fairs Diary for details and complimentary tickets). The have also developed a direct sales and air freight service for clients in the USA and a delivery service for UK customers. Their policy is to supply the best examples possible of  antique British pottery and to maintain a high level of trust with trade customers and private collectors. John and Linda work very much on a personal basis with every customer and it is interesting to note that over 70% of sales are from past customers. As a commitment to this policy they are members of the prestigious British Antique Dealers Association which have a code of practice requiring a high quality of stock, and a depth of knowledge and integrity from member dealers. John is a member of the Vetting Committee at the Olympia Fine Arts and Antique Fairs and other major antique events in the UK. With the ever increasing volume of reproduction Staffordshire pottery on the market it should be noted that every item sold is guaranteed for its authenticity and any restorations are specified. A Search and Find service is also provided where every endeavour is made to find that specific item.
