Title : STAFFORDSHIRE ROOSTER ON BASE

Antique Staffordshire pottery figure of a pearlware ooster standing on a square base with four balls.The Rooster is exceptionally well coloured and modelled and is a very rare example from the Staffordshire potters of the early 19th century. Antique English pottery date circa 1810.

Title : PRATTWARE BEAR TEAPOT C1790

Reference: 2968

Antique pottery teapot in the form of a mussled bear.The modelling and decoration of this piece is very strong and is a wonderful piece of folk art from the late 18th century. The head of the bear is removable. This piece was probably produced in the North of England or Scotland. The pot has a certain presence and through its rather brutish exterior reveals a comical and wicked warmth.

Title : PEARLWARE STAFFORDSHIRE COW

Reference: 2953

A large and impressive antique Staffordshire pottery pearlware figure of a cow standing on a base. This model was produced at the Wood and Caldwell factory in Burslem Staffordshire,England in circa 1815 . Wood and Caldwell were one of the most famous potters in Staffordshire and this piece is a fine example of their workmanship and attention to detail. Myrna Schkolne illustrates a similar figure in her book Staffordshire Figures 1810-1835 page 291 (Farm animals).

Title : COW CREAMER AND MILK MAID

Reference: 2936

An exceptionally well modelled cow creamer with milk maid on a base.Probably Yorkshire or Scottish pottery from circa 1810.Pearlware glaze with the typical pratt colour palette.The female figure has superior modelling compared to many cow creamers and the base also goes the extra mile with finer modelling. The lid has been replaced.

Title : WALTION ROYAL CREST LION CIRCA 1820

Reference: 2882

Antique Staffordshire pottery pearlware figure of a recumbant lion wearing the royal crown with the impress mark WALTON.Well modelled and decorated from one of the most famous and prolific of the Staffordshire potteries in the eary 19th century. There is restoration to a hairline at one branch and one leaf.

Title : PAIR OF FOX HEAD STIRRUP CUPS

Reference: 2793

A fine pair of English antique porcelain stirrup cups of foxes heads,the gilt rims bearing the term "Tally Ho".This pair are very realistically modelled and decorated and are probally the work of the famous Derby workshop and date to c1830. It is quite unusual to locate a pair from this period.
