Antique Staffordshire pottery figure of a cow standing on a base which bears the words MILK SOLD HERE.It is thought that these large decorative pieces were made as an advertising tool for Dairy's. Antique pottery period circa 1880.

Antique Victorian period Staffordshire pottery hens on nests or baskets. Both examples on yellow weave baskets and the hens with chick peeping from under the mother hens wings.English pottery period circa 1875.There are no restorations. Price £385 and £340 ....or for the two together £675.

Title : FROG LOVING CUP FROM HULL

Reference: 2789

Antique English pottery loving cup decorated with floral underglaze transfers of flowers and leaves.The loving cup is also host to a rather imposing black and white frog.Of special interest is the fact that the cup is named " J DANDEY FISH HER MAN HULL".Is J Dandey a fisherman or is she about to fish for her man in Hull? The loving cup would date to c1840/5 period and most probably produced in The North East England potteries.
