Agateware pottery teapot Staffordshire mid 18th century

Dated: 1760 Staffordshire England

A very fine lead glazed agateware press-molded teapot with pectin motif, the cover finial is in the form of a Dog of Fo, the handle is also press- molded in the form of a lamprey and the spout has a serpent head tip. The pot is in pristine condition with no restorations a gem of a piece and exceptionally rare in this condition.
