Antique English pottery figure jug of a bear baiting . 18th century.

Dated: c. 1780 England

An exceptionally rare bear baiting pitcher with a removable cover which serves as cup.
The figure molding and hand tooling decorative incisions are of the exceptionally appled with a Whieldon type coloured glaze.

Dimensions: 8.00 inch wide 8.00 inch high 5.00 inch deep

Medium: pottery ceramic earthenware ceramic

Current Condition Excellent invisible restoration to chip at rim of cup.
