Antique Staffordshire pearlware bocage groups of a Shell Garden.early 19th century

A matched pair of Staffordshire pottery figures of a Shell Garden with a pearlware glaze and unusual bocage.
The pieces are very decorative with good attention to detail and enamel colour application, there are some differences in colouring and modelling on each figure which only adds to their appeal and interest.
The figures of the two birds perched side by side are an amusing whimsical feature.
Can be acquired on an individual basis if requested.

Dimensions: 4.50 inch wide 6.75 inch high 4.50 inch deep

Current Condition Professional and invisible restoration to hairline at one leaf

Provenance: One from Private English collection.
The other with Jonathan Horne and a private collector London.

Note.reference is made that the bocage may represent seaweed a feature which only occurs on a similar styled figure of a child gathering shells re. Volume 4 figures 199.22-25
