Antique Staffordshire pottery pair boage rural figures circa 1820 English

Reference: 5891

Dated: c. 1820 Stafffordshire England

An unusual pairing of a female Harvester figure and a male shepherd known as "Lost sheep found".
These figures are not usually paired but were probably acquired at the same time when various choices of combinations were available. The romantic depiction of county life is reflected perfectly in the pair. Distinctive shaped bocage adds extra appeal to these charming figures which have been attributed to the "Patriotic Group".
