Borderware green glaze bottle shaped costrel mid 17th century England

Dated: 1650 Surrey Hampshire England

Post medival rare bottle shaped earthenware costrel with green copper lead glaze, there are two lugs with pierced holes at the neck for suspension. The base retains an old label stating that it had been discovered during excavations in 1871 of the old London Wall.

Dimensions: 5.00 inch wide 5.75 inch high 5.00 inch deep

Medium: earthenware pottery

Current Condition Old chip at the rim of base and rubbing at the rim of the neck.
