English delftware pottery polychrome decorated simple plate with a peacock, Bristol delftworks early 18th century

English delftware earthenware plate with image of a peacock amongst trees. The strong coloured decoration is painted and sponged in blue, red,yellow and manganese purple. Several patterns and variations on the "peacock" theme were produced mainly at the Bristol workshops.

Current Condition Minor fritting at rim and of good appearance
