Felsparic jasperware Bough or Crocus Pots made by Daniel Steel Staffordshire England (Burslem Staffordshire England, 1810)

A Jasperware felsparic bodied bough pot of superior quality with an elaborate dome cover with a flower finial. The decoration of the mustard colored ground center panel shows a cherub in flight over a goat pulling a chariot. The main body is profusely covered with leaves and grapes; there are classical type features on each side of the oval center panel.
The maker of this highly decorative and rare piece is Daniel Steel, his Scotia works were located in St. James Street, Burslem, Staffordshire operating from 1790-1824.

Current Condition Restored two minor chips at rim and hairline approx 2" on the back (Professional and invisible ).
