London delftware butter bowl with polychrome colours and a spike at base, early 18th centru England

An unusual and rare English delftware pottery bowl decorated with flowers and leaves in polychrome colours. There is a one inch high spike in the base of the bowl which is thought to hold a pat of butter. The cover to this butter bowl is lacking.

Current Condition Cracks to body professionally and invisible repaired.
