Pair of slipware earthenware whistling bird tree figures English mid 19th century

Pair of earthenware pottery whistling bird tree figures with lead and manganese glaze over a slip wash, English mid 19th century. The whistle emits the sound of a cooing pigeon or dove. These atmospheric country pieces are very decorative and an appealing subject especially with the addition of smaller birds perched in the branches.

Dimensions: 7.00 inch wide 10.00 inch high 7.75 inch deep
