Yorkshire pottery bust of Wesley founder of Methodism early 19th century

Dated: c. 1790 to c. 1810 Yorkshire England

Prattware pottery bust of the famous preacher and founder of the Methodists the Reverend John Wesley. An interesting feature is the application of Wesley's name which obviously caused some difficulty with the painter. A wonderful touch of humanity.

Dimensions: 6.00 inch wide 10.50 inch high 3.50 inch deep

Medium: pottery prattware ceramic earthenware

Current Condition Minor excellent restoration at the base, invisible and professionally executed.
