Yorkshire pottery prattware figure of a horse with a male rider

A rare prattware pottery figure of a horse with male rider modeled on a sponged decorated base with a green glazed top. The horse is stiffly modeled and fitted with an ochre and blue saddle. , The rider wears a maroon riding jacket trimmed with ochre, black boots, and a black top hat. A naive figure with simple and charming elegance. Figures with this type of base have been associated with the Mexborough Pottery Yorkshire.

Dimensions: 7.50 inch wide 9.00 inch high 3.00 inch deep

Medium: Prattware pottery ceramic earthenwware

Current Condition Professional invisible restoration at horses legs, reins, left arm.
