The English delftware plate is exquisitely decorated in polychrome in the Fazackerley palette. The chinoiserie-inspired picture shows a beautiful rock formation adorned with flowers and leaves. The plate is in very fine condition and one of the best examples of its type and made in Liverpool in the mid-18th century. An old paper label on the back states "Fine old Liverpool Delft plate, with polychrome decoration known as Fazackerly, rather scarce. See examples in the Liverpool Museum and article in the Connoisseur July 1923 No.263 page 139"
