A very fine and exceptionally rare lead-glazed solid agateware teapot, press-molded with a pectin motif. The cover is surmounted by a distinctive finial modeled in the form of a Dog of Fo, while the press-molded handle takes the form of a Lamprey. The spout is elegantly finished with a serpent head finial. The teapot remains in fine condition; the cover is professionally restored.
