An exceptionally rare Leeds creamware pottery punch kettle with the original stand delightfully decorated in enamel colors with flowers and leaves. The kettle is of a depressed rounded form with a curved spout and a Bacchus head in relief. The handle is an impressive double-twist wavy rope with flower and leaf terminals. The bowl-shaped stand features three Bacchus heads with feet and three flanges to support the kettle. There is also classic reticulated decoration typical of the Leeds Pottery at the body. The Bachus's heads signify the piece is intended for serving punch. A high-quality piece of late 18th-century creamware with notable decorative appeal and remarkable to find complete.
