Staffordshire pottery pearlware table-base bocage figure group titled ALE BENCH twice. This charming and rare group portrays a couple enjoying a goblet of ale. The pair is seated, with a castle in the background flanked by trees. The companion figure is titled Tee Total. Interestingly, ale was considered a better choice than gin, which had more adverse toxic effects.

Dimensions: 8 inches high

Current Condition: Some professional restorations by Ceramic Conservationists to the British Royal Family.
