A rare version of the famous "Sherratt" PREPARE TO MEET THY GOD group made in the early 19th century. This group is modeled on a rainbow base. The group is adorned with Masonic symbols, and the message is a reminder of mankind's accountability and mortality. The two standing male figures, one carrying a bible and the other a sword are guarding the entrance to the Masonic Temple. The Archangel Gabriel sits over the clock holding a tablet with the legend "Time Flies" he is supported with two angels with outstretched wings on either side. The group is decorated in a very colorful and vibrant fashion and attracts the eye reinforcing the message in bold black capitals PREPARE TO MEET THY GOD. The reverse is sponged decorated in black, green and dark red.

Dimensions: 11 inches high, 11 inches wide, 3.25 inches long

Current Condition: Restored some angels wings and Gabriel.
