A pottery documentary slipware harvest jug made in North Devon, probably at the Fishley Pottery located in Bideford. The pitcher is embellished with an image of a stag, a profusion of large flowers and leaves all with detailed scraffito decoration. The handle has a beautiful coiled terminal under which is a heart-shaped cartouche with the name ANN EDWARDS May 19, 1803, Langendairn and the verse "When this you see remember me, tho many miles distant be." The jug specially commissioned as a gift for Ann Edwards, who lived in Carmarthenshire Wales.

Dimensions: 9.75 inches high

Current Condition: Minor abrasions at glaze related to age.
