This early and rare slipware earthenware figure of a cat holding a mouse in the mouth is decorated with a cream-colored ground with applied brown colored slip and naively modeled. The figure is hollow based and dates to the early 18th century.

Current Condition: Professional restoration by restorers to the Royal Family to hairlines and the tail of the mouse

Provenance: Private collection Oxford and then with a collector in Hertfordshire England.
