A Mortlake Pottery brown stoneware tankard decorated with a panel of " The Midnight Modern Conversation-Punch Party" with an equestrian hunter, male beater, and hounds in pursuit of a fox. The rim of this handsome piece is Sheffield plate and an early example probably made in the John Sanders era in the late 18th century.

Diameter: 4.5 inches

Current Condition: Restored and stabilised a feint hairline at base of handle.
