A good English delftware charger polychrome decorated with a chinoiserie scene in the John and Esther Niglett style and from the Limekiln Lane Bristol Pottery. The center shows a Chinaman dressed in a red jacket seated by a rock on a terrace overlooking a lake. The rim is a repeated stylized array of flowers. The back of the piece has alternating O and ll motifs in blue, a feature related to the Bristol Pottery. NOTE. An almost identical piece is in the Warren Collection at the Ashmolean Museum Oxford.

Diameter: 13 inches

Current Condition: In exceptionally clean condition with minor fritting at the rim and no restorations
