A good English delftware pottery plate royalty commemorative painted in blue and white with half portraits of William and Mary. The letters WMR (William Rex, Mary Regina) are placed between the figures, decorated within two concentric blue bands. The decoration is striking, well executed, and a superior rendition to similar wares from the period.

Current Condition: The surface decoration is in remarkably fine condition, there is some minor loss of glaze at the rim in accord with age, the dish is unrestored.
