A fine pottery figure of a "Horseman Loyal Volunteer, "  decorated in the Pratt palette of yellow, blue, brown, and ochre. The figure dressed in uniform stands on a domed square base holding a cutlass in his right hand. It is one of the best examples of its type. NOTE. Militias were formed following the Act of 1757 and contributed to the realm's military strength until the late 18th century.

Dimensions: 8.5 inches high

Current Condition: Fine condition, the steel blade may be a replacement.

A fine pottery figure of a “Horseman Loyal Volunteer, ”  decorated in the Pratt palette of yellow, blue, brown, and ochre.

The figure dressed in uniform stands on a domed square base holding a cutlass in his right hand. It is one of the best examples of its type.
