The large-scale pink luster pottery pitcher is decorated with transfer prints and an inscription "Dick Young champion of Patfield against Franklin of Patfield for 50 a side". The primary transfer is a copy of the famous print of the Mendoza- Humphrey Fight, another the Bridge over the River Wear, and one showing the arms of the Grand Union of Odd Fellows, which also included the name of Dixon & Co. Sunderland Pottery. The jug is in remarkable condition and probably unique.

Current Condition: Remarkably fine condition with no restoration.
