A good Staffordshire pearlware glazed and enamel decorated figure with bocage depicts Joseph and Mary with the infant Jesus fleeing King Herod. Various models of this popular figure were produced by the Staffordshire potters and this piece is a fine example with notable detail and exceptional quality enamels.  

Dimensions: 7 inches high

Current Condition: Very good condition with a bracelet type hairline at the donkeys front leg professionally restored..

Provenance: Previously with the pottery dealer Leonard Russell and then from a private collection in Bolton North West England.
