An engaging Staffordshire Pottery pearlware glazed figure of a seated cat with a striking expression. The figure is hollow-based and decorated in sponged underglaze oxide colors of yellow and black, and the oval-shaped base is green. Dating to the last quarter of the 18th century, the figure is in remarkable condition with no restoration.
