Description
The rare pottery teapot has fine agateware decoration and a lead glaze, and is supported by three paws with lion-mask terminals. The small globular shape is a reminder of the expense of tea in the 18th century. The cover features a well-modeled finial in the form of a Kylin.
Traditionally attributed to Thos Whieldon Pottery
