A one-pint pottery creamware bodied surface decorated agateware tankard made in England in the late 18th century. The remarkable decoration is formed from tiny pieces of variegated clay which was applied to the wet cream-coloured slip and subsequently cut on a lathe prior to firing. A very rare example in fine condition apart from a minor ancient rim chip.

Dimensions: 5 inches high

Current Condition: Minor rim chip and in very fine unrestored condition.
