A delightfully engaging pottery pearlware glazed tankard with relief molded panels finely decorated in enamels of flowers in heart and diamond-shaped cartouches and butterflies. The central front panel is named SARAH THOMAS 1822 and is probably a christening commemorative especially commissioned from the Swansea Pottery. The tankard is in excellent crisp, clean condition and one of the best examples of its type.
