A pottery money box in the form of a long case Grandfather clock decorated in good Pratt colors, the modeling well executed. The clock is flanked by a male and female couple. The boy looking bored or weary or perhaps both, his head resting on his hand whilst leaning on a spade, and his female counterpart is standing proudly holding a basket of flowers. This engaging piece is in exceptional condition with vibrant pratt colors and sharp relief molding decoration, one of the best examples of its type attributed to Mexborough Pottery Yorkshire.
