This English delftware charger is strikingly painted in two tones of blue with a stylized Chinese figure standing in an extraordinary landscape. The reverse of the piece is lead glazed. Excavated shards with similar decoration were located at Brislington in 1914.

Diameter: 13.5 inches

Current Condition: Hairline restored left visible on reverse.

Provenance: Previously with Jonathan Horne in 2002 and then the Graham Slater collection.
