This delftware plate is elegantly painted in blue and white depicting two figures standing in a charming country house estate setting with mountains in the background. There are several trees which are sponge decorated in the style typically associated with Bowen and the Bristol Pottery. The plate was part of an exhibition held at the Bristol Museum in 1979 organized by the British Antique Dealers Association.
