A large-scale green slipped glazed figure of a seated cat with a sgraffito inscription in Welsh which reads " LLON LYGOD LLE NI BO CATH," translated as "Happy Mice where we have a cat." The base is marked with the potter's name, " Jones Bridgend," of the Ewenny Clay Pitts Works. A classic example from this Welsh pottery and a  figure with folk and arts and crafts influences with a compelling decorative presence.  

Dimensions: 15 inches high

Current Condition: Restored tip of ears, minor rubbing .
