This remarkable porcelaneous group shows the Roman goddess of war and wisdom, Minerva, seated on top of a grassy knoll, holding a shield with a bird emblem. She is accompanied by her sacred owl, a rooster, a lamb lying on a plinth, and a cherubic child pointing to the literature in an open book. These symbolize her admirable attributes, including fighting wisely for causes. The group is a stunning three-dimensional decorative statement with exceptional modeling, detail, and fine-quality decoration. The figure is previously unrecorded and possibly from the Dudson or John and Rebecca Lloyds works in Staffordshire.

Dimensions: 10 inches high, 7 inches wide, 11 inches long

Current Condition: Restored by ceramics conservator to the British Royal Family. Viz;neck, crack at roosters legs, cherubs right foot and crack in base.
