A rare and elegant pair of soft-paste porcelain sauce boats in the form of cos lettuce made at the famous Longton Hall Works Staffordshire England. Unusual to find a pair that has journeyed through 170 years together and remained in wonderful clean and crisp conditions. The boats are oval form and model with overlapping leaves with the stem curling to form the handle. The hand-painted decorations feature butterflies, flowers, and leaves. Two colorful pears are molded underneath the handles.
